Every protected strike uses one shield, so the meter can empty faster than you expect if several players visit your board. That's why many players take a quick look at it before closing the app. It takes seconds, and it can save a lot of rebuilding later.
A Simple Pre-Exit Routine
Before you put the game down, check whether shield symbols are nearby and whether your meter has room. If you're empty, a few careful rolls may be better than leaving every landmark exposed. If you're full, landing on another pickup can return dice instead.
