As Diablo 4 Gold approaches its third anniversary, the game is currently riding a wave of limited-time events and major public test realm (PTR) updates. But not all news from Sanctuary has been greeted with equal enthusiasm.

Anniversary Bonanza

The three-year anniversary event, running until June 9, offers players a final chance to claim daily rewards. Two key features dominate the celebration: Mother's Blessing, which grants an experience boost across both Seasonal and Eternal realms, and March of the Goblins, which dramatically increases Treasure Goblin spawn rates. Killing these elusive creatures progresses a special reputation track with exclusive rewards. Daily weapon skins were also distributed from June 1 to 6 latecomers may have missed them. A crossover event with Diablo 4: Immortal adds Lilith-themed cosmetics, a new zone, and a fresh class.

Diablo 4 Season 14 PTR: New Systems and Delays

The PTR for Season 14 began on June 3 (after a one-day technical delay) and runs through June 9 on PC Battle.net only (no console or Steam access). Early issues with the Tower leaderboards have been resolved, and competitive play has resumed.

The upcoming season (expected live around June 30 or July 1) introduces several major features:

Solo Self-Found mode: A long-requested option where characters cannot trade or group up, designed for pure self-reliance. After the season ends, these characters can convert to normal ones.

Pandemonium Rifts: A new seasonal activity with three tiers (normal, surging, gargantuan). Longer-duration rifts yield better rewards, and high-tier rifts allow summoning an "Otherworldly Walker" to access the Hall of the Fallen.

Mythic Uniques 3.0: A controversial upgrade system that lets players enhance any unique item's quality using a new currency, "Chaos Shards."

New pinnacle boss: The "Corrupted Reaper" offers high mobility combat and is the best source of Mythic Uniques.

Community Divisions Over PTR Changes

While some players welcome the shake‑up, others warn that Mythic Uniques 3.0 dilutes the endgame chase. The new system makes it easier to power up gear but reduces the thrill of rare drops. Likewise, gem strength adjustments and helm nerfs have drawn criticism for potentially narrowing build diversity favoring already dominant setups while leaving off-meta builds behind. PTR defenders argue that it is exactly the time to experiment and that final balancing will come before the live launch.

With the anniversary event ending tomorrow and the PTR closing on June 9, all eyes are on Blizzard to see which PTR changes survive the feedback gauntlet. Whether cheap Diablo 4 Gold Season 14 revives enthusiasm or deepens existing rifts remains the biggest open question for Sanctuary's faithful.
